Pushpavalli Season 2 Episode 1 Recap: Ab Aap Karengi Kya

After returning back to Bhopal, Pushpavalli is in Bangalore again!

Pushpavalli Season 2 Episode 1 Recap: Ab Aap Karengi Kya

After a compelling season 1, the first episode of season 2 of Pushpavalli begins with her getting engaged. Pushpavalli sits all dressed up in her room. She asks her mother to go and call Pankaj, just to distract her mother. As her mother leaves the room, Pushpavalli locks the door and opens the window to meet the tea boy. Well, he is here as well. Pushpavalli is definitely not over stalking Nikhil.

After having a word with the tea boy, Pushpavalli climbs out of the window to meet Guruji’s assistant, Laxman. Pushpavalli wants Guruji to stay throughout her engagement ceremony and has offered him extra money to do so. However, Guruji has been offered even more money by someone else and thus he is leaving. But Pushpavalli is adamant about having Guruji at her place so she takes one of her gold necklaces and gives it to Laxman. He agrees to let Guruji stay there.

Meanwhile, Pankaj and Pushpavalli’s mom bang the Pushpavalli’s room door. Pushpavalli climbs in and tells them that she’s in the bathroom. Then Pushpavalli injures herself on the forehead deliberately. Perhaps, she doesn’t want to get engaged. But why does she self-harm when there are less painful ways she can adopt.

Pushpavalli opens the door and says that she fell in the bathroom. Her mom is upset that out of all her body parts, she injured her face. She asks Pankaj to go and call the makeup girl to fix her wound.

As Pushpavalli and her mother leave to go to the stage, Pushpavalli mentions that her necklace has been stolen. Basically, she tries to waste time by talking nonsense as the tea boy signals her a no. I wonder what the signal is all about. Pushpavalli tells Pankaj to go and look for the necklace. She asserts that she won’t go to the stage without the necklace. She tells Pankaj that she suspects the shirtless guy with a bag, pointing towards Laxman to whom she herself gave the necklace. The tea boy appears again with a thumbs-up signal for Pushpavalli. Pushpavalli suddenly changes her stance and goes to the stage.

Then we see Nikhil coming with his father with offerings for Guruji. Nikhil is annoyed that they have to come to someone’s engagement to meet Guruji.

Now I get it, Pushpavalli was waiting for Nikhil to arrive so that he can witness her getting engaged.

While Nikhil and his father meet with Guruji, Pushpavalli’s friend Bhavna goes to ask something. Nikhil and Bhavna have eye contact. Both of them wonder where they have seen each other before. Nikhil recognizes her. After she leaves, he asks Laxman who the girl is. Laxman tells Nikhil that she is the bride’s friend. Nikhil looks out of the window. He finds out it is Pushpavalli’s engagement.

Meanwhile, Pushpavalli is with Vidyut, her husband-to-be. While walking down the aisle after the exchange of rings, she accidentally burns her braid with a lamp. Thank god it was the fake hair that got burnt. Everyone around says it’s a bad sign.

Cut to Pushpavalli sitting in front of Guruji. Guruji asks that now that her mother is leaving for the ashram, what her plans are. Pushpavalli tells him that she will stay back in Bangalore to spend time with Vidyut’s parents. Guruji then responds that this time Pushpavalli will get what she is looking for, as opposed to what he said the previous time.

Then the tea boy comes to Pushpavalli’s room to ask for his remuneration. Pushpavalli gives him the pendant of her necklace and promises to give the chain once he pulls out more information about Nikhil.

After the tea boy, Pankaj comes to her room. He is suspicious about Nikhil landing up in Pushpavalli’s engagement. He asks Pushpavalli about it. Pushpavalli acts completely unaware. Pankaj buys into it, as always and the episode concludes.

Episode rating: 3.5/5
