Pushpavalli Season 1 Episode 4 Recap: Sab Scam Hai

On the same Food Expo’s day 2 in the flashback, Nikhil is in the queue for food. He sees Pushpavalli lurking around at the back. He goes to her. He wants to have salad and has called the waiter multiple times for it but no one’s listening to him. Pushpavalli calls once and the waiter arrives. She asks him to bring salad. However, the waiter says there’s no salad. She asks if they have some onions, tomatoes, carrots, and beans in the kitchen. The waiter says yes, and Pushpavalli convinces him to go in and make a salad out of the vegetables. Nikhil is impressed.

In the present day, we see Pushpavalli cutting onions while telling Tara and Srishti about the incident at the restaurant that day.

Pushpavalli’s phone rings. It’s Nikhil. She hesitates to pick it since she doesn’t want to talk to him about the restaurant scene, because she is embarrassed. So she does not pick his call. Just after, she receives a call from her mother. Her mother wants Pushpavalli to go meet her Guruji who’s in Bangalore on her behalf. Pushpavalli reluctantly agrees to her mom’s demands.

Next, we see Pushpavalli in a queue outside Guruji’s house. This is a quite fun setting. There’s a short-tempered and loud-voiced Pankaj-like sidekick trying to maintain decorum amongst the devotees in the queue. There is a man before Pushpavalli in the queue who is coming back for the fourth time with renewed food to offer to Guruji because the previous three times Guruji rejected it. And then there is Pushpavalli herself. She gets a call from Pankaj because she isn’t at work. He asks her if everything’s fine. Pushpavalli cooks up an even more serious story about being stalked to excuse herself for visiting Guruji and not going to work. Pankaj buys it.

Nikhil is also at Guruji’s and I wonder if he is actually stalking Pushpavalli this time. He tells Pushpavalli that even his mom follows the same Guruji and therefore he is in the line holding a spot for her. Quite a coincidence.

Meanwhile, at the library, the tea boy comes with information for Pushpavalli. However, Pushpavalli isn’t present. So Pankaj tries to pull out the information. The information is that Nikhil has gone to meet the Guruji.

This information strengthens Pushpavalli’s fake story in Pankaj’s mind. Pankaj totally believes that Nikhil is following Pushpavalli.

At Guruji’s, it’s finally Nikhil’s and his mom’s turn to go in. His mom also meets Pushpavalli.

Pushpavalli is next. She goes in while Nikhil and his mother wait for her outside. Honestly, I find Nikhil really sweet.

Meanwhile, at the library, Pankaj continuously tries to call Pushpavalli but her phone is switched off. He is worried about her. He decides to go look for her himself, so he leaves for Guruji’s place.

In Pushpavalli’s meeting with Guruji, he advises her to go back to Bhopal. He also tells her that she won’t get the thing for which she came to Bangalore.

After her meeting with Guruji, Pushpavalli comes out. Nikhil tells her that his mom is leaving for home and he is very hungry. He invites her to go and eat something with him. Pushpavalli thinks about Guruji’s advice which he gave her just a minute ago and hesitates but eventually agrees to go with Nikhil.

Pankaj arrives at the location. He sees Pushpavalli happily conversing with the man who was supposed to be stalking her. Pankaj is furious to see this and gestures to Pushpavalli to meet him at the office.

Pankaj now doubts Pushpavalli’s story.  Nikhil doesn’t seem like a stalker. Plus, it’s Pushpavalli who has changed cities. Pankaj is also privy to the fact that Nikhil’s office is on the same street as is their children’s library. But as mentioned earlier, Pushpavalli is great at pretending. She refutes Pankaj’s allegations and tries to spin it around. Let’s see how Pushpavalli keeps Pankaj’s faith in her story intact.
