Filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia (known for Paan Singh Tomar) has directed this new film Yaara, starring Amit Sadh, Vidyut Jammwal, Vijay Varma and Kenny Basumatary. Shruti Hassan is the female lead of the movie. “My character is pivotal to the plot of this story about four boys,” Hassan said during an interview.

Yaara is set in the year 1975 and it is the story of local gangsters who are called the Chokdi Gang. The movie follows their journey through the years, and talks about the unbreakable bond of friendship. It will revolve around how well the gang survives the test of time. 

Based on the trailer, one can only assume that it is going to be an emotional and unique story about the importance of true, lifelong friendships. 

The well-loved cast and director, and Amit Sadh’s recent success with Breathe...Into The Shadows has made Yaara the most anticipated coming of age story of the year. 

Yaara is a Zee Original film that will be released directly on its OTT platform Zee5 on Friendship Day, July 30. 

The trailer for the movie released yesterday and is already trending on YouTube with more than 21 lakh views.
