The show is quite good with comedy. The Solankis are trying to come up with a perfect birthday present to give to their old relative, Hasmukh, but Kiran and Nikhil shush every idea with a dark joke.

Finally, the family agrees on getting him a rocking chair. The scene gets a little uncomfortable when Nikhil asks Shreya, "Tera aur Jason ka bhi isi gift mein, ya phir tum alag se kuch doge". It's a little too insensitive to unintentionally throw your sister under the bus so casually. Shreya doesn't respond to Nikhil's question but gives him a 'WTF?' stare.

Afterwards, while at work, Nikhil tries to explain his confusion about Shreya, to Rohan. Rohan acts less like a co-worker and more like a life coach to Nikhil. Rohan suggests that Nikhil give Shreya some time and space. When she’s comfortable enough to talk about her marriage, she will. Great advice.

Meanwhile, Anita's awkwardness with her in-laws finally comes to an end. All along, Vandu has been noticing Anita's obsession to fit in and be perfect. She addresses the elephant in the room in a very philosophical way and talks the nervousness out of Anita, whose new mantra is "let it go". Vandu is the Rohan to Anita's Nikhil.

Unlike Rohan, Anita advises Nikhil to go ahead and talk things out with Shreya straight away. Uh oh! The brother-sister relationship is about to go on a spin.

Nikhil and Shreya meet at a bar. Shreya is looking forward to a normal catch up. They start with nostalgia. And after a few minutes of remembering the burgers they used to love in their childhood, Nikhil shifts the topic towards Jason. He begins interrogating Shreya like a cop. She gets uncomfortable with the back-to-back questions and walks out of the bar without revealing anything to Nikhil.

Back at home, Nikhil loses his temper and snaps at Shreya. Yes, the brother-sister relationship seems to spiralling down. 

An ugly confrontation takes place in front of the family. In a fit of rage, Shreya comes out with the truth. Jason is not in Kolkata, and she has come to Mumbai because she is no longer happy in her marriage.

The episode ends as we see Shreya breaking down. The whole family is very upset. This is their nadir. I wonder how they'll manage to get their lives back to normal.
