The episode opens with a troubled Kiran sitting at a tea shop late in the night. He doesn't remember his way back home. He's lost and has become a pain in the shop owner's ass, who wants to close his shop. Kiran is contemplating getting another cigarette and a cup of tea, when Nikhil finds him. To see Kiran alright is a sigh of relief for Nikhil, Anita and Vandu.

The next day, Anita takes the Solankis to a comedy show. She wonder if this will be awkward because of the "unsanskaari" jokes, but her in-laws are pretty cool with the extreme profanity in the comic's set.

They are surprised when they get back. Shreya is there! She is already inside the house. Turns out, Anita and Nikhil's young and outspoken neighbour, Palak (he's a guy) has a spare key to their flat. Palak is a very chilled out guy whom you can imagine smoking a pot at noon on a working day.

Kiran and Vandu are eager to spend time with her. When asked about her husband Jason, Shreya dodges the question by saying that he's in Kolkata for some work. The older Solankis are more than happy to be reunited with their daughter. But for Nikhil, Shreya's visit is more of an unwelcome surprise than a happy one. 

Meanwhile Anita has her own struggles. She feels awkward when she doesn't seem to get anything perfect around her in-laws. She doesn’t chop the cashews the way Vandu wanted and she doesn’t know Nikhil's favourite dish before marriage. Though it doesn't look like Vandu or Kiran mind these little things, Anita starts stressing over them. 

Later in the night, Kiran and Vandu discuss Shreya's weird surprise visit. They are very calm about it but they're sure that something's not right because their daughter travelled from Hyderabad to Mumbai in slippers. That's quirky for a person who won’t even step out of the house without shoes.

The next morning, we see Shreya ignoring Jason's call. Surely, her marriage is on the rocks, but she hasn't talked about it with her parents or Nikhil yet. The episode ends as Nikhil grows suspicious of his sister. He knows that all is not well between Shreya and Jason. 

What is Shreya hiding? We'll only find it out in the succeeding episodes.
