The eighth episode of The Family Man Season 2 begins at Salman and his partner Syed’s apartment. Dhriti is crying and shouting for help. “I trusted you”, she says to Salman but he says that her fate isn’t in his hands. He also tells Dhriti that she is here because of her father who works at NIA. Dhriti thinks there has been a mistake since her father works at an IT company and pleads to Salman to let her go.

Atharv is at Suchi’s parents’ place and Arvind is at her home. Srikant arrives home with his team. Suchi breaks down on seeing him and Srikant comforts her.

In Chennai, TASC figures out that the terrorists are planning an air attack and that they stole C-4 explosives from Point Pedro. They alert all airports and flying schools nearby.

Srikant talks to JK on the phone. Srikant is upset that his work has consequences for his family. JK gives him the update about the terrorists’ mission - they are planning a kamikaze-style attack. Arvind takes Srikant’s and Suchi’s leave.

Srikant goes to Dhriti’s school to interrogate her classmates. He learns that she didn’t get along with most of them and had a reputation for being ‘an angry feminazi’. Mahima tells Srikant all that she knows about Kalyan. Kalyan looked older and wasn’t from their school. He had a keypad phone and Dhriti met him on Instagram. The TASC team checks his Instagram account but it has been deleted.

Muthu tells JK about the response from airports and aviation centres. He doesn’t get a response from Tigris Aviation so they decide to go and check it out.

Srikant and Ajit reach the mall in which Dhriti and Kalyan went to watch the movie. They check the CCTV footage and click pictures of Kalyan’s and Syed’s faces.

Salman doesn’t seem very happy doing the job. Syed instructs him to make a video of the girl while crying. Salman goes into her room and Dhriti suggests that she will pretend to cry for the video so that Salman won’t have to beat her. Syed comes in at this point and tells Salman to make the video while he violently beats Dhriti. Seeing a 16-year-old girl being slapped like this is very disturbing to watch. It makes Salman uneasy. When Syed leaves Salman tries to comfort her but she hits him.

Muthu and JK reach Tigris for inspection. The terrorists hide. Prabhu pretends to be the surveyor there. Muthu goes up to check the plane but Prabhu doesn’t allow him to do so without legal permission. Muthu sends an officer to get a search warrant for the place from the magistrate. Meanwhile, they look at the documents of the place. JK asks about other people working there. Karthik comes out pretending to be the manager of the place and the officials ask him some questions. Muthu senses that Karthik speaks in Sri Lankan Tamil.

The TASC team in Mumbai is still searching for Dhriti. Srikant and Suchi get the video of Dhriti being beaten and are devastated.

It is evening and Muthu and JK are still waiting for the warrant at Tigris.

Sajid calls Srikant and warns him to stay away from the terrorists’ mission if he wants to see his daughter alive. Srikant says he wants to talk to Dhriti and Sajid tells him the time when he can do so. Sajid uses a scrambler so that he can’t be tracked.

Muthu and JK are without a warrant till night. JK asks Muthu to distract Prabhu so that JK can check the plane. Muthu involves Prabhu in a conversation and JK slyly goes to check the plane. He finds that the plane is lined with many C-4 explosives. Selva and Raji see that JK has found out about their plan and they come out opening fire at the officials. JK and Muthu run and hide behind the grass. JK tells Muthu about what he saw inside the plane. Muthu escapes the aviation centre while JK covers for him.

Srikant and Suchi get to talk to Dhriti. She apologises to her mother for all the bitter words she said to her earlier. The phone is on speaker mode and Srikant tries to melt Kalyan. Srikant says, “If you love Dhriti, you won’t let anything happen to her”. Srikant tries to prolong the call but Syed snatches the phone from Dhriti and hangs up.

Seeing that the course is clear, JK tries to escape Tigris but Raji spots him and shoots him in the back. JK somehow manages to climb the fence and escape. He runs in a jungle but soon passes out.

Suchi is stressed at home. She says to Srikant that Dhriti is paying for his deeds and that she wants her daughter back.

Raji messages Sajid that the officials found Tigris so they’re leaving from there. This angers Sajid and he calls Syed to meet him at the highway and tells Salman to keep the camera charged. Sajid intends to kill Dhriti.

Mumbai’s TASC team finds out that Salman had dumped Dhriti’s phone in a local train at Dombivli station. The police are instructed to search around that area.

Sajid meets Syed at the highway and leaves for the apartment where Dhriti is kept. Remember the undercover police officer Shinde from The Family Man Season 1? He has a brief role in this season also. While Shinde is patrolling the streets, he arrests a junkie. The junkie sees the photo of Syed on Shinde’s phone and claims that he knows Syed’s whereabouts.

At the apartment, Salman gets Dhriti a glass of water. She asks him if their whole relationship was a lie. She pleads with him to not kill her but he says that it isn’t in his hands. She tries to melt him. She says, “I know you love me”. He seems hesitant to harm her. She pleads with him to untie her for a moment and he does so. However, he says he can’t let her go. What happens next is astonishing. Dhriti stabs Salman with a broken piece of glass multiple times and he falls on the floor, struggling to breathe, and finally dies. This is a very gory and intense scene and no one saw it coming. She takes the keys from his pocket and unties herself. She opens the door of the apartment as she prepares to leave. But there is more to come. Sajid is standing at the door and he slaps her unconscious. 

This episode of The Family Man Season 2 is very intense and unpredictable. It took a few minutes to sink in what went down in this episode. The next and the last episode of The Family Man looks thrilling as nothing is on the right track as of now.
