The seventh episode of The Family Man Season 2 shows us the aftermath of Sajid and Selva’s operation to rescue Raji. Selva and Sajid bring an unconscious Raji back to Tigris. Inspector Umayal is recovering in the hospital after Raji tried to choke her. JK comes to visit her at the hospital. Kulkarni mourns the death of Milind and the TASC team is tense. Srikant tells Kulkarni that Sajid is working with the rebels and Sameer. Kulkarni also learns that an Indian civilian’s body has been found along with Lankan soldiers at Point Pedro. The description of the Indian civilian matches that of Jebaraj. Srikant requests Kulkarni to get the PM to postpone the talks with the Lankan President in Chennai. However, Kulkarni tells him that PM Basu has decided that the talks will be held and she doesn’t like to be cornered. He instructs Srikant to learn about the rebels’ plan as soon as possible. Srikant wonders that if Raji knew that Jebaraj was dead, why did she still visit his home? Looks like Srikant is on the right track.

The TASC team visits Jebaraj’s home again and interrogates his wife. She doesn’t know much except that her husband didn’t let anybody enter the storeroom in the house. The team searches the storeroom and finds the detonators. Srikant realises that the terrorists are planning an explosion.

In London, Deepan is stressed because Bhaskaran is up to something evil. He wants to find Bhaskaran and stop him.

Dhriti prepares to leave for a movie date with Kalyan. She tells Suchi that she is going to the mall with her friend, Mahima. Suchi objects to her daily ventures outside. Dhriti gets irritated and blames her mother for their tattered family situation. This escalates into a fight between the two and Dhriti leaves.

Deepan meets Sameer in London to ask about Bhaskaran’s whereabouts but Sameer denies having any information. Sameer texts Bhaskaran to stay hidden as Deepan is on the lookout for him. We learn that Bhaskaran is hiding in Normandy, France.

At Tigris, Selva tells Sajid that the authorities are circulating their photos and it is dangerous to step out of the hangar until the mission is complete. They discuss a plan of action for the PM’s assassination and Sajid asks for some material to make a new detonator. Raji’s fever is going out of control and so Selva calls for a doctor.

Deepan appoints a man to find out where Bhaskaran is.

Sambit and Kulkarni try to make PM Basu reconsider the date and venue of the scheduled talks. However, Basu is adamant about holding them. She rebukes Kulkarni and NIA to make provisions for her safety instead of asking her to postpone the talks.

Suchi is at the counsellor’s clinic. She feels that she is the reason behind her family  falling apart. She wants to tell Srikant ‘the truth’ but the counsellor advises her not to do it as it would end her marriage to no repair.

After the movie is over, Kalyan hesitatingly invites Dhriti over to his place. She calls Mahima and tells her to handle the situation if her mom calls Mahima. Dhriti then calls Suchi and informs her that she will be late as she forgot something at Mahima’s house. Dhriti is like her father when it comes to telling smooth lies. Atharv says that Dhriti is with her boyfriend but Suchi brushes it off. Dhriti and Kalyan leave the movie hall and a man follows them.

In Chennai, the TASC team mourns Milind’s death. They sit to drink to cope with the tragedy.

Sajid takes Raji’s and Selva’s leave as his work is done. He is leaving for Mumbai the next morning. Sajid tells Raji that he hasn’t seen a soldier like her and it was an honour working with her.

Dhriti isn’t back and Suchi repeatedly calls her but in vain. She finally rings Mahima who says that Dhriti has just left her place and must be on the way. After hanging up, Mahima calls Dhriti to alert her but she also doesn’t pick up Mahima’s call. Mahima leaves a text message nevertheless.

It is 11 o’clock in the night and Dhriti is still not home. Suchi calls Mahima again. Mahima panics and gives away the truth. Suchi learns that Dhriti has a boyfriend named Kalyan who she went on a movie date with. Dhriti met him online. Suchi asks Mahima if she has any photos of Kalyan but Mahima replies in the negative.

Srikant and JK are drinking when Srikant gets a call from Suchi. He doesn’t pick up due to their restrained relationship. Disappointed, Suchi calls Arvind. Next, we see Srikant get a call from an unknown number which he picks up. Arvind is on the line and he tells Srikant that Suchi wants to talk to him. Arvind is at Suchi’s home. Suchi tells Srikant everything that she learned about Dhriti and that she has gone missing. Srikant gets Ajit from TASC Mumbai to track Dhriti’s phone. Her phone’s last location is that of a local train. Ajit suggests that it could be that Dhriti dropped her phone but Srikant says he knows his daughter and she hasn’t mistakenly dropped even a pin to date. He strongly feels that this is a kidnapping.

Sajid leaves Chennai for Mumbai.

Srikant decides to go back to Mumbai and promises Suchi that he will find Dhriti no matter what.

In the last scene, we see Dhriti tied on the bed in an unconscious state at Salman’s apartment.

This episode mixes our family man’s family and work life with each other. In the next episode of The Family Man Season 2, how will Srikant save his daughter while also preventing the PM’s assassination at the same time?
