This episode of The Family Man opens with a firing at the India-Pakistan border 3 years ago. Terrorists bring nerve gas canisters from Pakistan to India occupied Kashmir. It takes 3 years to bring all the canisters to this side of the border.

In present day Kashmir, Sajid meets Basharat at the place where the stock of the canisters is kept. Sajid decides to take all the canisters to Delhi in one go.

At the TASC office in Mumbai, Punit, a technical expert, tries to revive data from Kareem’s phone. The phone is successfully switched on but a text message is accidentally sent to Jonali, Kareem’s girlfriend, through the phone. This is a message that Kareem had typed to Jonali minutes before his death. Punit informs JK about this mishap. JK sends Shinde to Jonali’s home. Shinde is the same police officer who was undercover as a tea-stall owner outside Kareem’s hostel.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan reaches General Ansari’s home. The Pakistan PM has been briefed  about Zulfiqar by the PM of India. The Pakistan PM confronts Ansari about Zulfiqar and Ansari denies having any information about it. The PM tells Ansari that if he gives them information then the ongoing corruption case against Ansari will be forgotten for good. Ansari does him one better and demands to be the Chief of Army Staff. Hence, a deal is struck and Ansari spills the beans about Mission Zulfiqar.

Srikant is back from Balochistan. Moosa is being searched for in Delhi. Time is short and there are no leads.

Sameer is summoned by the PM of Pakistan after General Ansari blows the whistle on Mission Zulfiqar.

Police officer Shinde goes to Jonali’s home and interrogates her about the message from Kareem’s phone. She is bitter as she holds the authorities responsible for murdering Kareem. After a little prodding she tells him that she got the message after Kareem’s death and it says “Ink”. Shinde asks her what it means but Jonali is unsure herself. Shinde leaves and Jonali tries to decode the message.

In New Delhi, a factory manager goes to a bar after work. He flirts with a man there and they have sex. After they finish, the man immediately leaves. The factory manager also gets a call from his wife and leaves the next moment. We learn that the man was employed by Moosa’s men to record the factory manager having sex with him. Moosa sees the video and is pleased. Will they use this video to blackmail the factory manager? This scene also tells us that Moosa is indeed in Delhi.

Jonali watches a video of a time when Kareem threw ink on a politician. She tries to find links between this video and Kareem’s message. She contemplates the possibility of Kareem planning another ink attack. It strikes her that Kareem’s bodycam wasn’t there in his belongings that were returned. She goes looking for that bodycam.

In Pakistan, Sameer is held captive. He is in a bad condition with bruises all over his body. General Khurshid asks him about the location of the stock of nerve gas. Sameer doesn’t open his mouth. Khurshid then tells him the news about General Ansari betraying Sameer and becoming the New Chief of Army Staff.

In the next scene, Srikant’s boss tells him that Khurshid has given the coordinates of the location of the stock of nerve gas. Sajid will be transporting it to Delhi.

Srikant, Saloni and Major Vikram make a plan to catch Sajid while he loads the canisters in a truck.

In jail, an officer brings Sameer food. The officer wants to help Sameer as he believes in Sameer’s cause. Sameer grabs this golden opportunity and calls Basharat from the officer’s phone. Sameer tells Basharat to stop Sajid and instruct him to go to Delhi and meet Chettan (Moosa) who will guide him further.

Basharat immediately gets going. His jeep catches up with Sajid’s truck. Basharat forwards Sameer’s instructions to him but Sajid is adamant to complete the mission that was given to him. In their tussle, army men arrive from all sides and surround Basharat, his men and Sajid. There is firing from both sides. Sajid hastily jumps back into his truck and starts driving. Major Vikram kills Basharat and follows Sajid in Basharat’s jeep. Vikram and the army men can’t shoot at the truck as it contains nerve gas. Vikram alerts the other units that Sajid is driving towards them. Srikant and Saloni are also stationed with the other units. Srikant notices that someone from the army has mistakenly put nails on the road to puncture the tyres of Sajid’s truck. Srikant immediately gives orders to remove the nails as they can’t destroy the truck. As the officers are in the process of removing the nails, Sajid’s truck arrives and some nails puncture one of the tyres of his truck. Sajid jumps out of the moving truck to save his life and the truck falls down the mountain into a lake.

Luckily, when officials come in to check the fallen truck, no leakage is reported from the canisters. Sajid has escaped. Srikant bids adieu to Saloni as Mission Zulfiqar comes to an end.

In the next scene, Sajid meets Moosa in New Delhi. Moosa tells him about Faizan’s capture by the US authorities, Sameer's arrest by the Pakistan army and General Ansari’s betrayal. Sajid asks if Mission Zulfiqar is over. “It’s not over. There is a plan B”, says Moosa and the episode ends here.

Again, this was a gripping episode. With just one more episode left in the series, what more twists and turns will we get to see in the story next?
