State of Siege: Temple Attack is a ZEE5 original film which is a fictional reconstruction of the real-life terrorist attack that happened on the Akshardham Temple in Gujarat in 2002. 

The teaser shows gripping shots of the NSG commandos at work. The terrorists enter the temple, take lives and spread terror. A brainwashing speech by a jihad leader plays in the background along with the ticking sound of a bomb which evokes thrill in the viewers. 

Worshippers at the temple are held captive and police attempt to break in but it is getting late. “NSG must engage”, says an NSG commando played by Akshaye Khanna. 

State of Siege: Temple Attack marks Akshaye Khanna’s digital debut and also stars Vivek Dahiya and Gautam Rode. The film is a follow-up to State of Siege: 26/11, a miniseries that centered around the 2008 Mumbai attacks. Directed by Ken Ghosh, State of Siege: Temple Attack will be released on ZEE5 on 9 July 2021.
