The episode begins with Farooq being blackmailed by Ismail’s friend, Hamid. Hamid demands money in return for not exposing him to Hafiz Ali.

Hafiz and Ismail, on the other hand, are planning to take Farooq’s help to finalise a deal with a Russian businessman.

Cut to Himmat in the audit inquiry explaining that his team is very close to capturing Ikhlaq Khan. Banerjee gets irritated and tells him that even Osama Bin Laden was found and killed in 10 years and then he questions Himmat’s competence. Himmat tells him that it’s been 19 years and the Government, Delhi Police and even the ATS were not ready to accept the existence of a terrorist named Ikhlaq Khan and this has been the reason for his setbacks.

Chaddha asks about the recent Rs 50 lakh requisition Himmat had applied for and Banerjee hints that it won’t be cleared. Himmat pauses for a second and drops the name of a politician called Shweta Thapar. Chaddha instantly tenses up as he remembers the high-profile politician who had warned him to keep her son’s case out of the inquiry. Chaddha stops Himmat from divulging the details of the deal and accuses him of digressing from the discussion.

Before the meeting is adjourned, Himmat informs Chaddha and Banerjee about some information he received - several terrorist attacks that are going to take place in Delhi in a few days. 

Back in Dubai, with the help of another undercover spy, Farooq figures out Hamid’s location. Farooq is planning to kill Hamid. Just as he is about to leave he gets a call from Ismail, who asks him to meet with Hafiz Ali immediately.

Back at the RAW HQ, Himmat looks over the tests of the other two agents, Juhi and Ruhani. They both pass his active operation test and Himmat is finally convinced that his whole team is ready for the operation to eliminate Ikhlaq Khan. 

We also see Himmat’s wife meet Abbas and inform him about the attack that happened on Himmat. Abbas assures her that he will do everything to protect him. After she leaves, Abbas calls someone and screams at them for not doing their job properly.

In Dubai, Farooq reaches Hamid’s yacht club and kills him. He also secures the phone which has proof of his connection with Abu. Later, he, along with Sonya and Ismail, meet at Hafiz Ali’s house. Hafiz asks Farooq if his real name was Hamjad. Hamjad was the name under which Farooq was operating with Ismail but Farooq denies it because he knows that Hafiz’s men were going through his house and passports. Hafiz’s men also do a background check on him but RAW has already made a backup file for another identity for Farooq as proof. He tells Hafiz that his real name is Rashid and that he changed his name to keep his work in Dubai clandestine. Hafiz asks him if Rashid knew the true nature of his own works, which was terrorisim. Farooq tells him that he does and he fully supports Hafiz’s cause. Hafiz, now impressed, informs him that by this Russian business deal, Farooq will have a chance to meet a very special person who is the strongest link in their Jamaat. Hafiz also informs him that he knows about Farooq’s affair with Sonya.

Abbas meets Shweta Thapar. He tells her that though he agreed to spy on Himmat, if the attack that happened on him was on her orders, he will retaliate violently. We see how protective Abbas is of Himmat and how he even puts his job on line by threatening a high profile politician for him.

Himmat receives a notification on his phone. He learns that his daughter is out at night and is meeting a boy named Sohail. He calls his wife and she tells him that Pari was out to study with her friends. Himmat, still not convinced, follows Pari to a house. Pari rings the bell and Himmat almost gets out of his car to catch her red-handed but stops when he sees that Pari’s friends have planned a surprise birthday party for her. We see him feel guilty for doubting her.

Farooq calls Himmat and tells him that he will be leaving for Baku tomorrow for the Russian business deal. He will give him a signal notifying his location when he is sure Ikhlaq Khan is at their meeting. Himmat tells him that he will get his agents ready.

Cut to a new scene where we see a girl and a woman returning to their house from a shopping spree. In the last scene of the episode, we see the woman wearing a suicide vest.

Yet another mind-blowing episode written by Neeraj Pandey. This episode reminds me of BBC spy drama ‘The Night Manager’ where the lead is on the brink of losing his cover in a covert operation. The production level of Special OPS is at par with international standards. The rumors are that a desi version of Tom Hiddleston’s The Night Manager is also in the works. I personally believe Special OPS would still be better than this ripoff with a mainstream cast.

After watching this episode, I’m glad to announce that for me this show is the result of the blessed reunion of a creative writer and a talented director.
