Skater Girl is an upcoming coming-of-age sports drama film. The first look is quite impressive. The background score in the trailer caught my attention. The story seems to be fresh and the casting of new faces adds to the novelty of the film.

Kids in a village are introduced to a skater board, a much better version of their cardboard bearing cars. All of them find it extremely amusing. Amongst them, a young girl in her teens discovers her passion for skating but faces a lot of obstacles while wanting to pursue it. While skating, she finds a passion that makes her feel free. However, her journey to accomplish proficiency in skating is not easy. The school authorities, locals in the city, and the family of this girl, all pose as hurdles but the way she conquers them and follows her dream is the story of Skater Girl. 

The film stars Rachel Sanchita Gupta and Shafin Patel, as a brother-sister duo. It also stars Amrit Maghera,  Jonathan Readwin, and Waheeda Rehman. Skater Girl is directed by Manjari Makijany, who is also the co-writer along with Vinati Makijany. I look forward to an inspiring and heartening film. The film will release on June 11, 2021 on Netflix.
