Mismatched Season 1 Episode 6 Recap: Games We Play

Dimple is extremely pumped to design her app. The last episode of the first season of Mismatched begins with her writing codes aggressively. In the voiceover, she mentions how it is much easier to deal with codes than humans. Not that she has an issue with humans, just that the heart is involved in interaction with them and she cannot afford to choose the heart over the brain. Her dream after all is not a love story but her million-dollar application. All this while, Dimple is trying to distract herself to avoid Rishi.

Dimple is still disappointed with Rishi. She thinks there was no need for him to lie to her. Celina tries to make things simpler between them. She tells her that sometimes it’s not easy for everyone to share everything. Everyone has their reasons. She suggests she let it go.

In the next scene, Krish makes the announcement that Dimple has challenged Anmol for the League of Legends championship. The championship is in four days and everyone is invited to the tournament.

Dimple is about to leave class when Sid enters. He scolds her for lagging behind everyone else. She defends herself by saying her idea got approved last.

However, while scolding her, Sid Sir appreciates Dimple’s designs and mentions that no one in the class is even half as good as her. He says her algorithm is phenomenal, just that she needs to produce the codes for her MVP faster. Dimple assures him that she’ll do a good job.

Rishi was not present in the class. We see him in the canteen. Zeenat joins him and lets him know that Dimple was looking for him. Rishi is not convinced. He tells Zeenat that Dimple has not replied to him for four days. Zeenat makes him aware that Dimple might be busy preparing for the big fight with Anmol.

Then we see Anmol practicing at Harsh’s place. His behaviour with Harsh’s grandparents is not the best. Simran and Krish reject the lunch made by Harsh’s dadi and opt to order from outside instead. Harsh feels unsettled by this.

Rishi goes to Dimple’s room to meet her. He apologises to her for not telling her about his family. Dimple forgives him. She tells him that Sid Sir really liked their UI designs. Rishi is pacified.

Celina, while making out in the backseat of a bus, gets a message on her phone. Work calls! She stops everything and rushes to deliver the order. The delivery is at Harsh’s place. Simran opens the door to find out that Celina works as a delivery girl. Celina is embarrassed now, her secret’s out of the bag.

Celina is sitting in the amphitheater. She is quite upset that Simran knows her secret now. Namrata comes and tries to console her. Celina tries to avoid Namrata. Namrata doesn’t hold back. Celina bursts out and starts to yell at her. While yelling, she clarifies that she is not interested in Namrata. Celina reveals in front of everyone around that Namrata is into girls. Namrata is devastated.

Rishi is distributing banners to support Dimple for the tournament.

Meanwhile, Namrata cries in a corner.

The tournament is about to begin. Celina joins team Anmol for the sake of protecting her secret, and strangely, Harsh joins team Dimple. The game begins. Anmol gets Dimple on a run in the game right away.

Rishi bumps into Namrata on campus. Namrata is extremely upset with Rishi. She feels betrayed. How could Rishi let go of 12 years of friendship for someone he has known for just one month?

The game between Anmol and Dimple is quite intense. Both of them are at equal levels.

Somehow, Dimple defeats Anmol. Anmol’s arrogance receives a well-deserved reality check.

Everyone goes up to Dimple to congratulate her. Sid Sir also congratulates her for the win. Then he tells her that a company’s new app ‘Unsocial’ is exactly the same as Dimple’s ‘AntiSosh’. Dimple looks at it on Sid’s phone. It is EXACTLY Dimple’s code. Sid is aware of this fact but has no clue how this happened. Dimple is not able to make sense of it at all.

Rishi comes up to Dimple angrily. He is furious that Dimple let out Namrata’s secret. Dimple is stuck on the thought that her app’s code leaked. Dimple and Rishi have a heated argument. Dimple thinks Rishi has leaked her code. Rishi rebukes her and says she deserved this. Rishi regrets joining the course for a girl like Dimple, who only loves her apps and machines.

Both of them are extremely distressed. Rishi packs his bags and leaves. Dimple is also rushing in the campus corridor with her backpack on. She meets Harsh on the way. He expresses his sympathy to her. He apologizes for not supporting her with the work and on behalf of his friends who always pulled her down. He consoles her and offers full support from now on. Dimple breaks down. Harsh comforts her. They kiss and the season concludes.
