The episode begins with JP Yadav acting sad in the hospital as Madhuri comes to see her father, the Chief Minister who was in the car crash of last episode. Munna accompanies her along with Kaleen Bhaiya.

She is informed that her father is no more.

When she returns home, Munna is gentle with her and provides her comfort. He says that he will try and be a better husband -to her.

Scene cuts to Maurya, who is torturing the truck driver who killed the CM. Viewers can recognise him as Sharad’s right hand man seen earlier in the season.Later Maurya finds documents in the truck signed by Sharad Shukla. Now he knows who is behind the assassination.

In Balia, Guddu kills Shekhu to avenge the slain doctor's family. 

Sharad’s mother advises him to  meet Maurya. Maurya and Sharad have a meeting and both realise that Tripathis are their common enemy. However, Sharad clarifies that he is not interested in helping Maurya against the Tripathis and that the truck driver is dumb and uneducated and cannot give away anything to Maurya. He suggests that they should not  interfere in each other's business.

In Lucknow, JP Yadav is preparing to take the CM's oath. He blackmails the Tripathi's for 30% share in profits from their poppy fields. On the side, he asks Zareena to fix him up with prostitutes to celebrate his victory-. He takes drugs and asks her to make a video of him with the prostitutes.

Later, Zareena reminds him she has been working for him for a long time and asks for the promised party ticket, but he refuses. This makes her vindictive. 

Later, JP Yadav gets a senior police official to file a strong case against Munna Bhaiya for the wedding massacre since -the Tripathi’s dont have his brother’s protection anymore. The senior official then gives Maurya official orders to begin the investigation. Ramakant Pandit, being a lawyer, is also present there. -He is informed that Guddu will also be charged for his crimes in this investigation.

In Balia, Guddu has also been informed about the plan to nab Munna. He has now taken over Shekhu’s men and provides them with guns. At home, Shabnam helps him take care of the Doctor's daughter. Golu becomes increasingly hostile with Shabnam.

In Mirzapur, CM’s old assistant, Anand meets Madhuri and tells her that Yadav is not mourning his brother's demise but rather celebrating his new power. He also hints that from the events that happened on the night of her father’s death, it indicates that Yadav had planned the accident. Madhuri asks Akhandanand to meet Anand and plan something against her uncle.

Zareena gets the prostitutes Yadav had exploited last night to crash his PR meet. There, with media present, the prostitutes dressed as widows accuse Yadav of sexual harassment. Zareena also discloses in front of everyone that she had been exploited by him for years, and provides video proof of it. This marks the end of JP Yadav’s presence in politics and this season of Mirzapur.

This episode ends with Guddu and Golu frustrated with the loss of a political ally as JP Yadav is ousted from the party.

With the end of this episode, the CM’s position is empty and the tables can turn any moment. Zareena, who till now was a pawn, has played a masterstroke. There is also massive tension as Maurya is again under the dilemma that his official orders to investigate Munna Tripathi might be overruled. JP Yadav’s defeat might have indirectly saved Munna from police. On the other hand, as time passes, Guddu’s patience wears thin with his need for revenge from Munna.
