The fourth episode of Masaba Masaba opens with Masaba shooting an ad for ‘Geetanjali Masaba Wax Strips’. This is a hilarious scene as Masaba is required to look “bold” and not tired according to the director. Masaba is very uncomfortable on the set.

Elsewhere, Neena is also on set for the shoot of a music video. The director comes to meet her in Neena’s vanity van and tells her about the concept of the video. The video is a comedy sketch mocking ageism amongst women.

At the ad shoot, Masaba struggles with giving satisfactory performance. The director spots hair on her legs and she is immediately sent to remove them because women aren’t allowed to show something as natural as body hair, right? Gia also reaches the set and Masaba is relieved to see her.

Neena is ready for the shoot but the other actor, Mithila takes time. Neena rehearses the dance steps till then. Finally, Mithila Palkar arrives and no, she isn’t the sweetheart from Little Things. She plays a bitchy Mithila in Masaba Masaba. Mithila throws tantrums, doesn’t get the steps right and thinks that they’re tacky. However, seeing Neena catch the steps and do well, Mithila takes it as a challenge to do better than the veteran actress.

Masaba shaves her legs in the vanity van. She is doing the ad just for money. Masaba cribs about her life’s problems in front of Gia. Gia makes her realise the triviality of Masaba’s first-world problems and this escalates into an outburst. Gia tells Masaba about her hectic day and accuses her of not being there for her. Masaba tries to explain herself but Gia leaves in anger.

The next day, Gia is still sulking and doesn’t answer Masaba’s calls or texts. Masaba then calls Jogi regarding the work on her collection. He doesn't answer and rather video calls her in return. We see that Jogi is in bed with another man. Masaba thinks that he is gay. She is surprised because he was a prospective boyfriend for her. She tells him to come to her office as Dhairya will be visiting in some time.

Dhairya and Pax come to the House of Masaba. Masaba tells Dhairya that she is collaborating with an artist for her collection and they have finalised some ideas. Dhairya is satisfied. Hesitantly, he asks Masaba for a favour. Pax is enamored by Masaba’s office and wants to work with her as an intern. At this point, Jogi comes in. He meets Dhairya and in his candour, spills the truth about not having any finalised ideas for the collection. Masaba handles the situation and assures Dhairya that the work will start shortly and will be delivered in time. Pax follows Masaba into her office, reiterating her wish for an internship. Masaba tells her that Pax is welcome anytime and agrees to keep her as an intern. Neena sends the trailer of her music video to her daughter. Masaba watches it with her team and everybody loves it. Masaba plans a screening party for her mother’s music video at Neena’s house.

At the party, it is time to watch the music video. Masaba plays it but, guess what? Masaba’s ad for the wax strips plays before the video. The ad looks funny with cheesy dialogues and her overtly sensuous expressions. Everybody has a good laugh at the ad. Then plays Neena’s sizzling music video. It is titled “Aunty kisko bola be?”. Neena is in a hot avatar dancing alongside shirtless boys with chiseled looks and macho bodies. Everyone cheers for her. Gia hasn’t come to the party. Masaba takes off from the party to go see her friend. She reaches Gia’s place at 2 o'clock in the morning and barges inside to help her with the work for the bar’s opening night. This is how the friends make up.

The bar’s opening night is a success. I must add how painful it is to watch all these parties when you’re sitting in the middle of a pandemic. Gia thanks Masaba for all her help. Micky is also present with his date. We see Vinay enter with a girl. He accidentally gets invited. Masaba feels awkward but goes up to greet him anyway. There is no bitterness between the two after their separation and they laugh with each other. Later in the party, all the couples dance to soft music while Masaba is left standing alone.

After the party, Gia comes over to Masaba’s place for a sleepover. Masaba tells her that she gets lonely sometimes in her house. Gia embarks on a mission to get her friend up and running in the dating scene. After going through some of Masaba’s creepy and funny Instagram DMs, Gia fixes a date for her. After this, Masaba goes on several weird and boring dates with different guys. On one such boring date, Masaba spots Dhairya Rana in the restaurant with a girl. She gets excited and clicks a picture of him. The flash of Masaba’s phone is switched on while clicking the photo which makes the girl with Dhairya suspicious. To not be caught, Masaba sneaks out of the restaurant. Masaba reaches home and spills the tea about Dhairya to Gia. She tells her that he looked hot. Masaba sends Gia the picture she clicked with a caption that should only be sent to best friends. But here’s the catch...she accidentally sends it to Dhairya himself! Dhairya’s phone buzzes and he opens Masaba’s message. He is very confused as he looks at the photo and the caption. In the paradise of her home, Masaba sleeps peacefully. She is blissfully unaware of the storm that is about to come her way.

This is the funniest episode till now in the series. With Jogi supposedly out of the picture, what turn will the Masaba and Dhairya relationship take in the upcoming episodes of Masaba Masaba?
