In the last episode of Masaba Masaba we see Masaba storm out of her mother’s house. This episode starts with Masaba staying at the house of her crew member, Gehna. Gehna is conscious of her messy home but Masaba likes the fact that she lives alone. Masaba also wants to live on her own and Gehna tells her about the broker who got her this home.

Next, Masaba and Gehna go on a house-hunt.

Back at home, Neena is worried about Masaba but doesn’t call her.

After seeing some shady and problematic houses, Masaba settles for one she likes. She asks the broker to fix a meeting with the owner. She puts this life update on her Instagram story.

Neena sees the news about her daughter’s new house on Instagram. While scrolling through her feed, she comes across another actor of her age who has been cast in a movie. Upset, she calls her casting agent and rebukes her for not getting work for Neena.

At her office, Masaba gets a call from the broker who wants to show her better prospects for a house. The house that she liked isn’t available for her as its owner doesn’t want a single woman to inhabit the house. Plus, she's a celebrity which adds to their hesitancy because the stereotypes about people in showbiz aren’t positive. The owner doesn’t want the neighbourhood to get spoiled by her drugs, partying and clothing habits. This tells us how society’s idea of a single woman is highly skewed and problematic. Also, including issues like house-hunting makes Masaba Masaba relatable. Masaba is pissed at this mentality and ends up abusing the broker. 

The next moment she turns and Dhairya is standing in her cabin. This makes for a hilarious moment. A girl is accompanying Dhairya. She is his ex-wife’s daughter, Pax. Masaba asks Gehna to show Pax around while Dhairya and Masaba get to business. He is angry at her for not having any ideas for her new collection. Masaba tries to explain that this is a creative process and not something that she can force. Dhairya makes a sexist comment to which Masaba gives a befitting reply. She goes on to rant about how no one is willing to rent out their house to a single woman who is a divorcee. Dhairya gives her the number of his friend who is leasing his house.

An upset Neena asks her house help, Padma, to choose the photo that Neena should upload on Instagram.

Gia comes to Masaba’s office with drinks. While Gia tells her friend about the opening night of her bar, Masaba gets an Instagram DM from Jogi, the painter who was introduced in the previous episode. Masaba tells him about the lack of inspiration for her new collection. Jogi proposes that he take her to a place where she can find inspiration. Masaba agrees, leaving Gia in the office.

He takes her to a games parlour where they have fun. Is this a date? He advises her to let inspiration come to her instead of chasing it. She asks him to collaborate with her for her new collection. A bit of flirting follows and Jogi looks smitten.

Masaba goes to the house which Dhairya recommended and she loves it. Finally, the house is booked. Masaba goes to Neena’s house to take her stuff. Padma tells Masaba that Neena has been upset since the afternoon. Padma also tells Masaba that Neena asked for her opinion on the picture she should upload. Curious, Masaba opens Instagram and sees Neena’s post. This is a post asking for work which interestingly, Neena Gupta posted in real life as people often assumed that she lived in Delhi instead of Mumbai. Masaba feels proud of her mother and reposts Neena’s post appreciating her mother’s courage to ask for work at her age and stature. This makes Neena emotional. She asks Masaba to stay for the night and shift to her new place tomorrow.

The next morning, Neena’s Instagram post is all over the news. She gets a lot of calls from producers and directors and many media companies reach out to her for an interview. While she is busy giving interviews, Masaba starts the process of shifting out. Gia, Mohini and the girls from work help her move her stuff and set up her new house. Gia gives her a vibrator as a housewarming gift. Gehna is too innocent to know what it is and the ladies have some fun. Seeing sisterhood being portrayed in the media always makes me happy. Gia’s character is fun and mischievous and I would like to be friends with her. 

After they leave, Masaba is left alone in her new home. At first, she enjoys her freedom but after some time it gets lonely. She sends a thank you text to Dhairya for his recommendation of the house only to receive a cold thumbs up from his side. Gia uploads an Instagram story of Masaba with the vibrator. Manav texts Masaba about it. He ends up coming to her home and next, we see them in bed together. We learn that Manav is Masaba’s ex who cheated on her in the past and also has a girlfriend currently. Hearing this, Masaba is disgusted and she tells him to get out. Manav is the same ex with whom Neena saw Masaba’s photo in the previous episode. While leaving, Manav makes bitter comments on Masaba’s life which makes her unhappy.

The third episode of Masaba Masaba takes Masaba from living in her employee’s house to renting her own place. Neena also goes from being out of work to being in demand. Both the mother and the daughter gain mini achievements.
