LOL Hasse Toh Phasse Review
Hardly anything to laugh at in order to get caught, for the viewer at least.

The first word I have to say for the show is - disappointing. The trailer suggested that it will be a unique show full of laughter and entertainment. Turns out, it has none of that and is rather boring to watch till the end. According to the concept, the ten participants were not allowed to laugh or even smirk. If they did that, they would get a yellow warning card and if they repeat it, they would receive a red card and will be out of the house. The total time for which they had to contain their laughter was 6 hours. Now the task for everyone was to make the others laugh so that they leave the place.
The ten comic artists who were locked in are some of the best in the country. They are extremely funny when they perform otherwise. However, they could not gather any laughs from their impromptu performances. They took the help of props and costumes to enhance the funny character, but even that did not result in much. Only a few of the artists were able to make their presence felt as the others were quite passive most of the time. Eventually, one after the other, comedians were evicted and there were three of them left till the end. Those three were the ones who controlled their expression till the end. The final winner was decided on the basis of the points given to them.
The show is an Indian adaptation of an existing TV show franchise Last One Laughing, which has released seasons in Australia and Mexico. I assume the show must have done well over there and thus was adapted for Indian audiences. Alas, it did not work at all over here. It seems as if a lost opportunity for Amazon Prime Video. They could have definitely exploited the calibre of ten comics in one frame, in a much better way.
