The fifth episode of Little Things perfectly ties up the events of the entire entire season together.

Dhruv and Kavya are driving to the outskirts of the city to finally try the bhajjis that they have been talking about for many weeks now.

The episode starts with Dhruv enthusiastically running outside because he’s too excited to go and final eat the bhajiis. 

At first, he was supposed to go alone, but Kavya quickly runs out of the room and says that she wants to accompany him after all. 

It’s a rather cute moment if you ask me, Dhruv waiting right there on the couch, slowly tying his shoes and smiling at Kavya. He knew all along that despite her reluctance, Kavya would eventually join him for this little adventure.

But of course, when they finally drive out and reach the right spot, they are informed that the lady who prepares the food has not shown up for the past few days. They drove for hours for nothing. Dhruv is annoyed and wants to return to the city.

That’s when Kavya insists that they visit the vineyard nearby. Dhruv is reluctant because he believes that walking across the vineyard would amount to trespassing. 

But Kavya is adamant about chasing a high that the fresh air is giving her, and so she keeps insisting until Dhruv gives in. 

To their delight, an attendant reaches out and tells them about a wine tasting that will commence shortly.

The couple decides to join the tasting. They taste all kinds of different wines and learn more about the wine making process.

In the middle of the session, they find time to tease each other and have a little fun, much to the dismay of the other guests present there who find their constant laughing and pranking to be a source of nuisance and disruption.

In order to escape their scorn, Dhruv and Kavya run away and sit on the lush grass. 

It is a breathtaking moment, to see the two sitting in the middle of nowhere talking about how their worldview varies so much. 

They end up having a heart-to-heart conversation. The trip slowly transforms into a successful day. 

In a moment of clarity and vulnerability, Kavya shares that she’s not sure if she wants to continue with her job. She claims that she wants to look into something else and explore a new career path. 

Dhruv, of course, being the mathematician that he, uses statistics and logic to back Kavya’s decision.

It is refreshing to see a supportive partner who not only listens to Kavya’s problem but also offers insights. 

Dhruv tells her that she should look into new things and discover what she is truly passionate about. He even suggests alternatives and tells her that she could take some time off to travel or paint. 

Of course they don’t reach a conclusive decision, but the season ends on a hopeful note. 

Dhruv and Kavya are happy in their relationship but they are undergoing a transition.

What the future holds for them will only be seen in the next season, but for now there’s hope, happiness, and greenery all around.

For this raw and refreshing conclusion to the season, Little Things gets a rating of 4.5/5.
