The episode begins with Vaibhav sounding morose about his Maheshwari entrance exam result. Uday and Meena later learn that Vaibhav has cleared the examination but Vartika, the girl he had tutored, didn’t.

At Prodigy, Deepak, the headmaster, rounds up all the toppers of his institute who had given and cleared the entrance test of Maheshwari classes. Vaibhav, now in A1 batch, is one of them. The students defend themselves saying that they only appeared for the test to gauge the competition in other institutes of Kota. Vaibhav and other toppers try to convince him that they are not going to leave Prodigy. Deepak, still skeptical, gives them scholarships for their fees and also promises various incentives to the students who will clear JEE MAINS next year.

In the mess, Vaibhav announces to Uday and Meena that he is thoroughly convinced he will receive better guidance and academic exposure at Prodigy and that he, along with other toppers, are not planning to leave. But then he overhears other toppers in the mess talking about going to Maheshwari classes in secret and further discussing how there is no competition in Prodigy and that the teaching here was subpar. Vaibhav, hearing this, gets into a dilemma.

Later, Jeetu asks the toppers if they are going to leave Prodigy. Most toppers lie again. Vaibhav stays back in Jeetu’s office and discloses the topper’s plan to him. Vaibhav is shocked when Jeetu asks him why he wasn’t planning to leave too. Jeetu points out that Vaibhav’s maths and chemistry are weak and Maheshwari classes would resolve this issue. He further informs him that he would have no competition here since all the other toppers are planning to transfer. Vaibhav tells him that he is finally accustomed to the atmosphere here and that he does not want to leave Jeetu’s guidance. Jeetu counters him and informs him that Vaibhav’s selection in IIT was more important to him rather than the institute from which he clears the exams from.

Cut to the scene where Shivangi and Vartika are talking. Shivangi is trying to convince Vartika to confess her feelings to Vaibhav. She tells Vartika to talk Vaibhav into not leaving Prodigy because if he does, they will not be able to meet again. She also tells Vartika that she and Vaibhav studying together will benefit them more than any coaching institute.

Meena gets very angry when Vaibhav tells him that he might be thinking about leaving Prodigy. He states that Vaibhav will have difficulty accommodating in a new PG and institute without him. In truth, Meena doesn't want to lose such a close friend. Uday enters the conversation and for the first time his character takes a very logical stance. He tells Meena, Vaibhav should choose his studies before his friends because later in life their friendship won’t matter if he doesn’t achieve success. 

Later, Vaibhav makes up his mind and decides to leave Prodigy. He visits Jeetu's house for their final farewell. He brings him a gift. Jeetu refuses to accept it. He tells him to visit him again after he becomes successful in life and then gift him something from his own earnings.

Back at the PG, Meena comes to terms with Vaibhav leaving. They hug each other and Vaibhav gets ready to leave with Uday. Suddenly we hear Vartika shout Vaibhav’s name and she comes running to him. She tells him that she thought Vaibhav won’t leave and that she really appreciated their studying sessions together. Vartika does not force him to stay even though she clearly has feelings for him. Vaibhav gives her his notes as a parting gift and Vartika gets him some yoghurt since last time Vaibhav had told her it was considered lucky to eat it before an important event. They both part ways without confessing their feelings for each other.

At the new PG, Vaibhav meets a student of Maheshwari classes, Sushrut. He tells Vaibhav that he is nervous because he joined the coaching late. Vaibhav remembers standing in Sushrut’s shoes just one year ago. Vaibhav counsels him and advises him to make studying a habit just for 21 days, just like Jeetu had told him earlier when he was nervous last year.

With the end of the last episode of Kota Factory we learn that Vaibhav is a very dedicated student. He leaves the comfort and friendships at Prodigy for his studies. Vartika doesn't follow Shivangi’s advice and does the right thing by not guilt tripping Vaibhav into staying. Meena and Uday support Vaibhav’s decision in the end, proving to be loyal friends. Jeetu’s actions tell us that he is willing to lose Vaibhav as a student if it helps him grow as a successful person.
