Directed by Faruk Kabir, Khuda Haafiz is an upcoming romantic action thriller starring Vidyut Jammwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi in the lead roles. The trailer released on 25th July 2020 and is being received well by the critics. Though the trailer says 'Inspired from True Events', one cannot fully rely on the story's authenticity.

The movie is set in 2008, during the time of recession. The trailer opens to a couple, Nargis (Oberoi) and Sameer Chaudhary (Jammwal) trying to figure their way out through financial hardships. They plan to move abroad for new job opportunities. But these plans fail when Nargis finds herself in a sex scandal in an alien country. 

Sameer goes on a hunt for his missing wife where he encounters the dangerous people involved in the sex scandal. A local (Annu Kapoor) helps Sameer in his mission. The chemistry shown in the trailer between Jammwal and Kapoor seems like a vibrant element in the movie. 

From the trailer it seems, the movie is packed with bloody faces and action sequences of flying vehicles. The new trend in action movies: a personal motive behind the drama (almost Breaking Bad-esque) makes the trailer stand out from its clichèd counterparts in Bollywood.

The trailer appears promising as Sameer doesn't leave any stone unturned to rescue his wife. But the question remains - will the couple have a happy ending? I’m anxious to find out.
