An airplane goes missing in Kolkata. 35 years later, a plane crash is reported. It’s the same plane, but the damage is only one week old.

With a sombre background score and minimalist cinematography, Abhay Deol and Pankaj Kapur’s upcoming series gives a promising vibe and boasts of a thrilling and twisted experience. 

SonyLIV Original series, JL50 is expected to make a debut this fall. 

Other stars of the show include Ritika Anand, Piyush Mishra, and Rajesh Sharma. 

In 2017, JL-50 was reported as a sci-fi, time travel based movie staring Deol, but no further details were revealed. Fans believe the same project is now coming out as a series instead.

While more details are yet to be released, one can only hope that a peculiar plot and promising star cast will help SonyLIV became a prime competitor in the OTT market.
