The trailer of Karthik Subbaraj’s directorial film, Jagame Thandiram has been released on June 1, 2021. The film stars Dhanush in the lead role and Aishwarya Lekshmi, James Cosmo and Joju George in the pivotal roles. Jagame Thandiram has been produced by Y NOT Studios and Reliance Entertainment. The film was previously set to be released on big screens on May 1, 2020 but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the date has to be postponed. Jagame Thandiram is releasing on Netflix on June 18, 2021.

The Tamil action thriller film revolves around a Madurai based gangster named Suruli. Suruli is hired by an influential gang leader in London, Peter, for breaking into the illegal operations carried out by Sivadoss. Sivadoss is infamous for his illegal weapons and gold business. Suruli is portrayed as a ruffian who seems to be proud to be a gangster. Even after being warned by a friend of the grave circumstances, Suruli is not ready to quit his job. But, after he starts working for Peter, he is caught ad-lib by moral dilemmas.

Jagame Thandiram roughly translates to ‘The world is tricky’. The name of the film sounds really fun. The trailer gives me an adrenaline rush and I cannot wait for the film to release.

From the trailer, it can be said that Suruli is a fun but savage character. English and Tamil languages are used in the film. Jagame Thandiram is the Indian film debut film of James Cosmo, a Scottish actor.

The trailer is getting very positive responses. One of the main reasons for this is the popularity of superstar Dhanush who plays the lead in the film. Dhanush, who is cast as Suruli, has given many phenomenal performances in films like Asuran, Raanjhanaa and Karnan. It will be interesting to see how Jagame Thandiram turns out to be.
