With Independence Day around the corner, Bollywood has come up with another patriotic film to release. Netflix's upcoming film: Gunjan Saxena is inspired by the life of India's first female pilot in combat. 

Dhadak starrer, Janhvi Kapoor, plays the lead. Pankaj Tripathi and Angad Bedi can be seen in supporting roles. The trailer released on 1st August 2020 and shows Gunjan's hardships behind achieving the title 'Kargil Girl'. 

The trailer shows the prejudices she faces from society. Her brother tells her that girls can't be pilots and her superiors repeatedly remind her of her weakness. 

Gunjan faces rejection from everyone, but her father (Pankaj Tripathi) believes that she is capable. He trains his daughter to become the fighter that she wants to be. Tripathi acts with his usual natural ease but the same cannot be said of Kapoor. Looks like the supporting cast is going to lift the movie's overall performance.

Gunjan salutes her father, who looks proudly at his daughter. Perfectly timed with independence day, we think this film will get the eyeballs, even though it doesn’t look promising.
