The episode starts with a tense atmosphere in Rajat’s house. His father reads a letter that Rajat wrote to him regarding his dissatisfaction in the science stream. His father looks quite upset. He tells Rajat about the starting packages offered after IIT and the great scopes that science stream offers. But, Rajat wants to pursue humanities. No matter how much Rajat tries to confront himself, his father is hell bent on sending him to IIT.

Rajat gets full marks in his chemistry test in Pradeep Sir’s class. But, this time he is not happy. Ishita consoles him that with time, things will fall in place. Rajat and Ishita are at Mr. Momos when it starts to rain. Rajat thinks monsoon is romantic, but Ishita has contrary notions. She finds it irritating. Rajat wants to live this moment and say ‘I love you’ to her. But, Ishita asks him not to as it will jinx their relationship. They instead settle on saying ‘I hate you’ to each other.

A few days later, Ishita’s grandmother passes away. Rajat, Gaurav and Anusha go to her house to pay tribute to her grandmother. Ishita seems okay but is a little cranky. Even after her father tries to cheer her up, she stops him saying that she is fine.

Rajat goes to the tuition when his mother finds his sim card in his washroom at home. She searches his room and gets her hand on a phone charger under his mattress.

At the tuition center, Pradeep Sir’s landlord arrives with a client. He asks Pradeep Sir to pay a higher amount for rent or else he will shut down Sunshine Tuition Centre.

Pradeep Sir decides to increase the fees of his students from Rs. 750 to Rs. 1400. Outside the tuition centre, the three friends curse Pradeep Sir for this. I feel bad for Sir as no one knows what he is going through.

Suddenly, Rajat’s mother arrives at the scene. She looks at a card that Rajat made for Ishita and slaps him in front of everybody. When they come back home, she loudly reads Rajat’s chats with Ishita. She scolds him severely and threatens to tell his father. When Rajat begs her to not say anything, she keeps a condition for him.

Next day, Rajat meets Ishita at the bus stop. It rains heavily. We are taken to the start of the first episode of this season where Rajat tells her that everything is over between them. He returns the picture of their fall test to her.

Ishita leaves in the bus and Rajat walks home. On the way, he collides with a man and starts a fight with him. Rajat takes out his frustration on him. The man along with his friend starts beating up Rajat.

Meanwhile, Ishita looks at the picture and is unable to control her tears. She asks her father why everyone always leaves her. He hugs her and consoles.

This episode was filled with exasperation, anger, confrontation and grief. It is hard to watch on screen break ups when we already get so attached to the characters. Let us see what plans destiny has for them.
