The audience for OTT platforms is widely increasing. The COVID-19 pandemic has only added to the online viewership. Disney+ Hotstar has launched a new feature called Disney+ Hotstar Quix where users can stream content online for free. Yes, you read it right. The streaming giant announced this news on 27th April, 2021. This feature will start functioning from 7th May, 2021. Many shows have been announced under this feature across various genres. The shows will have episodes as short as 10 minutes that a viewer can watch in between breaks.

This is the first time that a major streaming platform is offering content free of cost. Actors like Mandira Bedi, Sandeepa Dhar, Vikram Singh Chauhan, Tanuj Virwani, Barkha Singh, Rajeshwari Sachdev, Vidya Malavade and Paresh Pahuja have been roped in for various projects.

Five shows are set to release on 7th May which include Bamini and Boys, Hamara Bar Happy Hour, Murder Meri Jaan, Mukesh Jasoos, Teen Do Paanch

Bamini and Boys is a story of three friends who compete with each other to woo their attractive landlady.

Hamara Bar Happy Hour is about four friends whose failed career in acting prompts them to open a bar.

Muder Meri Jaan is a story of a con artist marrying a top cop.

Teen Do Paanch stars Shreyas Talpade and follows the story of a couple who adopts 3 kids.

Mukesh Jasoos is a comedy series where Mukesh termed as a ‘loser’ decides to spice up his life by changing his profession from a lawyer to a spy.

Shit Yaar, Bhopal to Vegas, Chattis aur Maina, Crime Next Door will also be streaming soon on Disney Plus Hotstar Quix.
