Cinema Bandi: Movie Review
The innocent efforts of a group of villagers to make a film with the help of a camera that they have found in the backseat of an auto rickshaw. The naive villagers dream to become famous and rich out of this film. Let us see how far they go with their filmmaking.

“Everyone is a filmmaker… at heart.”
Films make us forget about the world for some time. We start living in the film and it takes time for us to get back to real life for a few hours.
Veera is a dreamy man from the village Gollapally. On one fine day, he finds an extravagant and expensive camera in the backseat of his auto rickshaw. He takes it to Gana, a photographer friend of his and they start discussing the different ways of earning money from the camera. They finally come to the conclusion that they can make a film with the help of this camera. Veera and Gana put together a team - an old man as the screenwriter, a barber as the actor and a college going student as the actress. All the amateurs are from Gollapally, with no one having any knowledge about how films are made.
Veera has faith in the medium of film and believes that they will be wealthy and popular after reaching out to the world through their lens. He decides to help his village get out of the poverty and electricity issues that it has been facing since ages.
The film is a fusion of humour, innocence and a passion to dream. Their aim to make a film is also a leap of faith for the villagers to uplift their living standards. Cinema Bandi explores the ideas and talents of village members of Gollapally and their hard work to bring their film to life. Their trust in each other is remarkable.
I really enjoyed the Telugu film with a bag full of cheese popcorn and would highly recommend Cinema Bandi to anyone who wants to watch a feel-good film this weekend. The film has a topnotch cinematography and a marvelous sense of direction. There is no doubt that South Indian films are underrated. Cinema Bandi has an IMDb rating of 8.2 and has been much appreciated by the audience. Anyone who wants to know if Veera was successful in making his dream come true, watch Cinema Bandi on Netflix.
