C U Soon Movie Review - Mahesh Narayanan's Virtual Treat for the Eyes
C U Soon is an engaging thriller which keeps you on the edge of your seat.

C U Soon released on 1st September 2020 and has been catching people's eye for its enthralling storyline. It is a film with an innovative concept since the entire movie has been shot on mobile phones keeping the social distancing guidelines in mind. The movie has been written and directed by Mahesh Narayanan who has made a masterpiece.
The story revolves around Jimmy (Roshan Mathew) who works in the UAE and is desperately searching for a serious relationship on Tinder. His search ends when he matches with a girl, Anumol Sebastian (Darshana Rajendran). Their on-screen chemistry is literally 'on-screen' as the whole movie runs on video chats. Despite the setbacks of shooting during a lockdown, the duo have enacted the emotions of their characters exquisitely.
Fahadh Faasil plays the role of Jimmy's short tempered cousin, Kevin whose character develops the most throughout the 90-minute film. Fahadh has brought realism and depth to his character in each scene. He didn't fail to keep me hooked and definitely deserves a standing ovation.
As the story progresses, new and horrific pages are flipped open in the characters' lives as Anumol goes missing. One can't help but wait in anticipation for the next scene. If you are one of those people who look for intricacy in a story, and not masala entertainment, delay no further because C U Soon is for you!
The editors have indeed done a remarkable job. And the spectacular performance by the three leads is the cherry on top. It was hard for me to find a single flaw in this movie.
The plot makes you think and hope. With every scene, the movie makes you ask, "what next?". It is one of those stories where you can't predict the future. With a gracefully written script, Narayanan has managed to get his message across in a beautiful and subtle way.
A mystery full of uncertainties and possibilities, C U Soon is a must watch for all the reading-between-the-lines enthusiasts out there.
Movie Rating: 5/5
