Bhuj: The Pride of India Trailer Breakdown

Bhuj: The Pride of India directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, starring Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharad Kelkar, Nora Fatehi and Ammy Virk is a war drama based on the Indo-Pak War in 1971. The film is produced by Select Media Holdings LLP Production and will be released under the T-Series banner on Disney+Hotstar.

The trailer begins with an airstrike on Bhuj airport in Gujarat by Pakistani missiles. Thus, the war begins. Ajay Devgn’s character is inspired by Squadron Leader Vijay Kumar Karnik. Along with him, the characters of Sonakshi, Sharad, Sanjay, Nora and Ammy as leaders of their individual troops majorly contribute to the victory of India.

The trailer is packed with action and some powerful dialogues. The fire of patriotism is visibly evident from the trailer and its characters. However, the 3 minute and 20-second trailer generates some fatigue. The repetition of the word “Hindustan” multiple times begins to sound forced and edges the line of patriotism to become jingoism. Nevertheless, movies based on true events, especially which deal with subjects of the country often tend to work well amongst the audiences. The pride which comes from your country’s achievements depicted through a movie always attracts more viewers to watch it.

Bhuj: The Pride of India is slated to release two days before Independence Day, on August 13, on Disney+Hotstar.
