Akshay Kumar, seen as the face of patriotism in showbiz, is set to save the country yet again in his next film, BellBottom where he plays a RAW agent. Directed by Ranjit M Tiwari, this film is a spy thriller that became the first Bollywood film to start shooting amid the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. 

Pooja Entertainment Production gave a sneak peek to the audience through a short teaser of the movie which just has various shots of Akshay Kumar walking in and out of airplanes with grunge music in the background. The setting and the title of the film suggest that it is about a plane hijack set in the eighties and is bound to bring back the retro vibes. The film also stars Vaani Kapoor along with Lara Dutta Bhupathi and Huma Qureshi in prominent roles. 

According to one of the writers of the show, the film is based on an untold true story about the hijack of a plane. BellBottom is set to release on 28th May, 2021. It would be interesting to see what the saviour of India has to offer this time.
