Zee5 dropped the trailer to the sequel of its much awaited series Abhay. This series stars Kunal Khemu in the titular role. Inspector Abhay Pratap Singh is a dedicated officer of the law who has to solve a series of crimes in order to capture the kingpin.

This season the evil antagonist is going to be played by none other than Ram Kapoor. He is not the only antagonist of the show. The trailer shows that this season Khemu will be seen fighting against three evil geniuses, each with their own set of expertise.

It will follow the journey of Abhay as he tries to free a group of kidnapped children by solving other crimes along the way.

Based on the trailer alone, this season has a sinister vibe and dark cinematography. Experienced actors like Ram Kapoor and Kunal Khemu are expected to deliver a stellar performance. The short introduction alone has fans going crazy over it. 

With the rise in OTT content consumption, the chances of this show being a hit are quite high, but whether the story justifies the hype is something only time will tell.

Abhay 2 is set to premiere on Zee5 on 14th August 2020.
